Imo Community of Tampa was incorporated August 2009 in the City of Tampa, Florida. The community is a 501 (c) non-profit charitable, socio-cultural organization. The community is made up of distinguished families and indigenes of Imo State, Nigeria domiciled in Tampa Bay area and its environs. This includes but not limited to the cities of Lakeland, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Riverview, Brandon, Land-O-Lakes, Plant City, Port Charlotte, Orlando, Inverness, Springhill, Wesley Chapel etc.
Imo Community of Tampa Bay Scholarship
The Imo Community of Tampa Bay, Florida, USA Scholarship fund is an annual merit-based award targeted towards current higher education students of Imo State Origin in various Nigerian Universities and Polytechnics. In celebration of the growing achievements of Imo state students, the Imo Community of Tampa Bay is delighted to offer 30 high-achieving applicants, N100,000 Scholarships in 2026. In order to apply for this scholarship, prospective students must meet the following criteria:
